Our Cafe
Morrison on the Park is managed by Morrisons and is a not-for-profit organisation. Any surpluses generated from the business is given back to the community in the way of programs and projects such as the Community Link or the Exhibition Space, so supporting your local Cafe means you are supporting your local community.
We were fortunate in 2004 to obtain funding from the Shire of Yarra Ranges and the Department of Adult and Community Education to construct the cafe building onto the back of the Mt Evelyn Library in Wray Crescent. The Morrisons Committee of Management paid for the fit-out and equipment.

The cafe has quickly become a popular meeting place for many – a catch up with friends for lunch, to celebrate a birthday or meet a business colleague for coffee. Our inviting deck overlooking the Warburton Trail is a delightful spot for a glass of wine and a Morrisons Ploughmans Platter. The deck is cosy during the cooler months with the recent addition of bistro blinds and outdoor heating, and shady through the warmer months.
Take a stroll through to the Mount Evelyn Exhibition Space, and view the latest creations on show, from our local artists. The Exhibition Space flows into the Station House and Library where you can relax with a coffee in the comfortable lounge and read the latest papers and magazines on offer. This continues to be a popular meeting place for various groups who are looking for a place to meet and socialise.
Children are most welcome and catered for with our delicious Children’s Menu. Our four legged friends are not forgotten, with fresh bowls of water available.Life doesn’t get much better than that!
We have a very hard working and loyal staff. We are fortunate to have the expertise of our cafe Manager, Karen Gallagher and all of her talented team on board to offer quality meals and the very best service to the community.
Morrisons has a long history of working with and training volunteers (in fact, the majority of our staff started as Morrisons volunteers!) and we welcome their input at the cafe. It is a great way to get a foot in the door and learn all the skills required to gain employment in the industry. Learn how to make a coffee, take orders, pour drinks, clear tables etc.
Morrison on the Park has been and will continue to be an outstanding success, giving Mt Evelyn and the community a much needed meeting place and outlet for delicious, reasonably priced meals and snacks.
